Pathaan's writer Shridhar Raghavan reveled that Shah Rukh Khan played a vital role in shaping the character of Pathaan as he contributed 80 percent of the ideas to the script.
The film did really well at the box office not only because of its action sequences but also because of the humor and charisma of Pathaan's character.
The writer said, “We went to Mr. Shah Rukh very early and told him about our plan and how we wanted the character to be shaped.
Then he added more layers to it. When we put twenty percent into the script, he put about eighty percent into it. He himself brought a lot of vulnerability, humor and self-denial to the character."
“He contributed a lot to the idea of a group of people who are no longer allowed to be part of the service - JOCR. He told us that these people don't have to be so tough. In War (2019), the character played by Tiger (Shroff; actor) had a slight eye defect that was crucial to the plot. With this in mind, Shah Rukh sir told us that such people can come together and form a team."
According to Raghavan, “The humor and the idea of how Pathaan speaks comes from him. He also added layers and provided entrances to the scene where he is in the hospital after failing a mission and being injured. He is also very much into action, so he gave a lot of suggestions regarding actions,” reports News18.
Siddharth director Aanad's Pathaan has collected over INR 1000 crore worldwide.
