The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has confirmed the artist line-up for PSL 8 Anthem 2023 as the tournament is set to begin next week on Monday (February 13, 2023).
According to Pakistan Super League (PSL) official Twitter account, PSL 8 2023 anthem will be sung by Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, Faris Shafi, Abdullah Siddiqui who is also reportedly producing the music.
However, the exact release date of the PSL 8 anthem has not been revealed but we can expect it to drop any day as the tournament is just a few days away.
This is the second year in a row that Abdullah Siddiqui will be part of the PSL anthem as last year the singer-songwriter created the PSL 7 anthem titled 'Agay Dekh' along with Atif Aslam and Aima Baig.
Fans are always excited when they hear the PSL anthem but are disappointed after it fails to live up to their expectations. Hence, it will be interesting to see how the fans react to this year's PSL 2023 anthem, which is expected to be released any day now.
I was earlier reported that Ali Sethi will be part of the PSL 8 2023 song, but his father Najam Sethi, the current Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief, had the contract revoked to avoid any conflict of interest. .
“I am disappointed that Ali will not be able to sing the national anthem. Ali is also upset about it,” said Najam Sethi. “We'll bring Ali Sethi for the national anthem while I'm gone. You must understand my position. I don't want to be involved in any conflict of interest controversy,” he added.
The PSL 8 tournament is set to begin on February 13 at the Multan Cricket Stadium, pitting defending champions Lahore Qalandars against Multan Sultans.
